I am so excited to share this sweet couple and their Strip District Pittsburgh Engagement Session with you! They are just the sweetest, and I can’t wait until their wedding next year at the Hotel Monaco.
They brought along their dogs Dale & Doogie (Howser).
You will love their sweet story!
How did you meet?
I graduated college and moved back home to Pittsburgh in August of 2013. I started working at Mario’s and within my first few shifts I met my weekend manager. From that moment, I knew that we had a connection. He was extremely hesitant at first because he was my boss. Finally in April of 2014, we officially started dating.
How did he propose?
With how much we enjoy traveling, we had always talked about going to New York City. And for almost three years, the trip just never seemed to work into our schedule. In November of 2016, Jimmy finally asked me if I wanted to see New York in the beginning of December so that we could see all of the Christmas decorations. When we arrived in New York, we didn’t have any exact plans. We found a place for dinner just walked around and the wait for dinner was 30 minutes. I agreed, but Jimmy seemed anxious and just kept continuously saying we need to go to Rockefeller Center tonight. At this point it’s already 8 o’clock at night. I just kept telling him that if we didn’t have time, we had three full days to go see it. We finish dinner and finally head over. We arrived and I am so overwhelmed with the lights and the skating rink. He doesn’t even blink and immediately grabs my hand and says “we need to go to the top of the building.”
We somehow caught the last elevator of the evening at 11 o’clock. Once at the top of the over look, all of the people that were still up there were on the Empire State Building side. We start to walk to the Central Park side to see how different it looks with the dark park in the center of the city. He grabs me and starts by saying “you know I had lunch with your dad last week, right?” He slams down on one knee, and goes to open the box. It was of course sideways and he couldn’t get the box open. But I didn’t even look at it, I just hugged him and started crying. He said he had a whole speech planned but nothing came out as planned. The moment couldn’t have been more perfect, and more us.
What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
The gorgeous location, seeing the final product come together and seeing all our loved ones there to celebrate us
What do you love most about Jimmy?
His passion for music, understanding and explaining every song. His love for me everyday, trying to understand my anxiety and how to help me. He is just such an amazing man, and I couldn’t ask for someone better to spend the rest of my life with.
What do you love most about Krista?
We are exactly the same person. It’s so strange we are always thinking identical thoughts. She has any amazingly kind heart.
Thank you Krista & Jimmy! I am SO excited for your day!
