Lindsey + Matt | Married!

See! Told you there was a fun post coming!

Lindsey and Matt got married in Pittsburgh this past weekend. Their wedding was at Shadyside Presbyterian Church, and their reception was held at Soldiers and Sailors.

They had a sweet winter Pittsburgh Engagement session… you can view those images here. They are on my OLD blog…

Lindsey and Matt are a super sweet couple, and I have LOVED working with them. They might be some of the nicest people that I know. Really. Truly.

And… what’s fun is that…

I was recommended to Lindsey and Matt from my long time hairdresser and friend, Sommer, at Salon B. She does Lindsey’s mom’s hair. Lindsey and I are from the same hometown… went to the same high school (General McLane), went to the same college (Penn State)….and my family grew up taking our dogs to Lindsey’s dad’s Vet’s Office…  It was fun to see some familiar faces at the wedding. Funny how life works out sometimes. 🙂

Onto the wedding!

Lindsey and her ladies got their hair and makeup done at Studio E in the city… and then headed to the PAA Club to get ready.

Love this image of Lindsey in the lobby of the PAA club! Breathtaking! She looked soooo amazing!

Lindsey and Matt did a first look before the ceremony… LOVE, LOVE.

Her dress is so amazing! Love how classy she looks. Just beautiful.

She got her dress from Bridal Beginnings in Mt. Lebanon.

The ladies…

The handsome fella’s at Shadyside Presbyterian Church

Ok. So this I have to explain. At Shadyside Presbyterian Church, I was literally not allowed in the church during the ceremony. So…. as the bride walked down the aisle with her dad… I was not in there to get it…. I was allowed to be in the balcony for the processional… and then had to come down immediately.

What’s crazy is, during the ceremony, the ladies at the church closed the doors, and I literally had to shoot through the crack in the door. No joke. Proof below. Here is a pic of their first kiss through the crack that I had to shoot through. Crazy. The ladies were as nice as could be…and I realize that it wasn’t a rule that they made up. I have never experienced this before. Definitely a first. 🙂

LOVE the bubble exit! Lindsey has the best smile ever!!!

And the reception at Soldiers and Sailors. Lindsey and Matt’s first dance. The Luckies by Ben Folds.

They had an awesome band travel in from Philly, called The Exact Change. They were awesome!

Matt singing Lindsey a song… set up by the band. Notice that the mic is upsidedown…. 🙂

They are so, so cute together!!!

And a few shots at the end of the night to grab Soldiers and Sailors all lit up…

Be sure to check out the slideshow below to see more images from the wedding…. Lindsey’s dad sang My Girl and had it recorded on a CD so that when they danced he sang the song. So sweet.

  • These photos are amazing. Meaghan, it’s awesome you did all this without an assistant (for instance, the shot from the balcony at the reception). Lindsey and Matt – you are the best! I can’t even choose a favorite image but the bubbles one is up there. XO, Katelyn JoyReplyCancel

Great photos. My favorite is Matthew singing to Lindsey.
In the first couple pictures I keep wondering what they are saying to one another.
In#4 – Matt: You look so beautiful Lindsey.
In#5 -Matt: Wait a second, you are saying this is NOT delivery. Lindsey: No silly, it is Digiorno.
In#6 – Matt: Tastes great. Lindsey: No Matt, less filling.
In #7 – Lindsey: Are the guys drunk already, please tell me they arent. Matt: No, just a little buzzed. I told them less than three glasses of scotch each.ReplyCancel
