Ok. These two.
What a fun day!!!
So they had a surprise wedding! You might wonder how that goes down… Here’s how.
I met Sarah at her hotel in Washington Pa where she was getting ready. She and Paul did a first look at the hotel…
Paul left for the “I Do BBQ,” and Sarah called her mom to say she was running late.
Sarah’s cousin gave the mom’s a gift which was a note to say it was a WEDDING, not an engagement party, and a corsage for the wedding. 🙂
And then Sarah showed up ready to go, and it was on!
A few getting ready photos…
The bracelet below was her grandmother’s bracelet, who she was named after.
And LOVE her custom converse. 🙂
Their First Look!
And a little bit about their story:
How did you meet?
We met in the PSL Kickball league on a PPG Kickball team. He played center, I played right field! We both are extremely competitive people. When I joined the team I was told we had “chemists and PhDs” on the team, which made me nervous and I instantly thought we were losing every game – totally unacceptable to me. The first game the other team forfeited and I wanted to see how bad (or good) the team was. Paul wasn’t taking the game very seriously and we got into a small verbal altercation. We both left that night not thinking kind things of the other. 🙂
How did he propose?
We had rented a house on the Lake at Deep Creek and we had just gotten back from a late lunch. I had taken Max out and met Paul up on the balcony. We were discussing how much we liked it there and we should buy a place and next thing I knew he was down on one knee and I screamed ” WHHHHAATTT!” Then I said “YES!”
What do you love most about your man?
This is such a tough question, it’s easier for me to say what frustrates me with him. Paul is the type of person I never would have selected for me, yet he is the perfect compliment to my personality.
What do you love the most about your lady?
She has such an outgoing and fun personality
What do you love to do together?
1. Walking the dog – This forces us to talk for 45 minutes without distractions. This has been the single best activity for our relationship because it gives us time to focus on each other, while getting exercise!
2. Playing Yahtzee
3. Doing activities friends – brunch, events, or just hanging out
4. Eating Dinner together – almost every night.
5. Concerts – Smaller venues with singer songwriters
6. Trying new restaurants
7. Traveling to new places
8. Pens Games
10. Watching our favorite shows together curled up on the couch.
Sarah and Paul had a lot of lawn games planned for their guests, but there was literally torrential downpours the day before the wedding and the ground was still crazy wet so they didn’t put them out. However, there was an amazing basketball court that the kids (and adults) made good use of.
Sarah and Paul, THANK YOU for having me capture the most unique wedding I have ever been a part of!!!
